Natural Resources of Three Countries in One Innovative Product

The TRIPLE ORIGIN BEAUTY – Cross-Border Cosmetic Prototype (TO BEAUTY) project brings together three micro-enterprises from Montenegro, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of jointly developing a new natural cosmetic product – a skin cream – and strengthening their competitiveness in the regional and EU markets. The project is implemented within the EmBRACE project, co-financed under the Interreg VI-A IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro Programme 2021–2027.

The project brings together the complementary resources, knowledge, and production capacities of the three countries: Mediterranean medicinal plants and extracts from Croatia, high-quality goat milk from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expertise and production capacities in natural cosmetics from Montenegro.
Through the joint development of the product formulation, the partners will combine their resources, knowledge, and professional expertise to develop an innovative natural skin cream, which will be laboratory-tested and prepared for entry into the European Union (EU) market in compliance with relevant requirements.

In addition to the development and pilot production of the new product, the project includes upgrading production capacities, implementing quality standards, developing a joint brand and packaging, and undertaking activities aimed at placing the product on the Croatian and wider EU markets.
At the same time, the project contributes to establishing a sustainable cross-border value chain that transforms local natural resources into higher-value products and creates a foundation for the development of new joint cosmetic products beyond the project implementation period.

Objectives of the TRIPLE ORIGIN BEAUTY Project

The overall objective of the TRIPLE ORIGIN BEAUTY project is to strengthen the competitiveness and innovation capacities of three cross-border micro-enterprises through the joint development of a new pilot natural cosmetic product (skin cream) based on a Mediterranean plant extract, goat milk, and complementary production capacities, as well as to prepare the product for its potential entry into the EU market.
The specific objectives of the project are to:

• strengthen the competitiveness of the participating micro-enterprises;
• increase innovation capacities through cross-border cooperation;
• jointly develop a new natural cosmetic product;
• combine Mediterranean plant extracts and high-quality goat milk in an innovative cosmetic formulation;
• utilise the complementary resources, knowledge, and production capacities of the three partner enterprises;
• develop and further improve the prototype of the new cosmetic product;
• prepare the product for potential market entry in the European Union; and
• establish a foundation for continued and sustainable cross-border cooperation among the participating enterprises.
